July 29, 2011 - The Rock River, Oregon, IL

Out to the Rock again. This time, I really tried to hang it all out. Check out the video. I am getting a better feel for the boat and how it handles. On the way back in, we even rescued some boaters that ran out of gas.

Well, we were off to the Rock River again. We did some more tubing and got some good pictures from the shore and the tube. Near the end of the day, the throttle cable broke in the control box, ending our fun. We were able to make it back to the launch using force and tools to run the throttle. On the way home, We spun a bearing on the trailer, causing us to leave the boat on a farm. A few days later, we picked it up on a flatbed and brought it home. The axle was in tough shape, so I swapped it with the old trailer that is now under our '76 GT-150.

This is NOT the Way a Boat Should Travel

July 7, 2011 - The Rock River, Oregon, IL

We went back to the Rock again today. The water was smooth and it was a great day for tubing. This is the first time that I have tried to pull a tube or anything with this boat. It really worked well. We had no problem pulling the tube with two people on it and we pulled a knee board as well. Great day!

July 2, 2011 - Rock River, Oregon, IL

We bought a new(used) tow vehicle, a 2004 Ford Explorer, and took our GT-150 out to the Rock River in Oregon, IL. This has quickly become a favorite place to go. It's close and not crowded. The launch is steep but the Explorer handled it well.
 Works Great

Nice Scenery

Went back to Lake Geneva again. The water warmed up so we were able to get out of the boat.

Beautiful Area. Great Scenery

Took the boat up to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. The sun was nice but the water was a little too cool to swim.
